Managing Inner Life…Refuse to be distracted
Draw apart, pull into different directions, a diversity of direction, Confusion from a multiplicity of objects crowding on the mind and calling the attention different ways.
Proverbs 4:25 Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions. Proverbs 4:25 -27 Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.
Psalm 119:1-4 1 You're blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God. 2 You're blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him. 3 That's right - you don't go off on your own; you walk straight along the road he set. 4 You, God, prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it.
Look and live Numbers 21:8-9. 8 The Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” 9 So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived. The danger was real, present and death all around- but that was not the focus. Colossians 3:1-2 Christ’s resurrection is your resurrection too. This is why we are to yearn for all that is above, for that’s where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honor, and authority! 2Yes, feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm. Rev 3:11 “I’m on my way; I’ll be there soon. Keep a tight grip on what you have so no one distracts you and steals your crown. What keeps us focused? Knowledge of God, prioritize complete obedience to all divine instruction, maintain the fear of the LORD that keeps us on the straight ordained path. Spiritual urgency – ingathering- return of the LORD. We are significant to God. Growth see below. Ingathering: John 3:14-15: And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
John 12:32 And I, when I am lifted up[a] from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”
Prayer points: Ephesians 3:16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man *Grow in the knowledge of God *Personal maturity – to apply the Word of God in thought, preference, and action. *Marriages - a season of repair & communication. *Focus on children. Evolution and GPS -a time of awareness and pursuit of personal spirituality. *Community bonds be strengthened & affirmed, prayer, communication, love.
