Grace – The Foundation of our Sonship
Sons build their father’s vision.1 Kings 8:19 However you will not be the one to build this place;
but your son who is yet to be born will build your vision, this temple for My Name.
Let us Pray - Holy Spirit overthrow any and all beliefs that are inconsistent with Your will &
purpose in and through each and every one of us. We yield to the revelation of Your son in us.
Restore the knowledge of God and His intentions for each of our lives as we approach Your life- giving Word with fear and trembling. Amen.
In the Kingdom of God, your destiny and mine play out of our unique identity as the son of God regardless of gender, race, or pedigree.
In this kingdom, we are kings and priests, God our loving Father is the foundation of our new identity in Christ. Our Father provides, protects and positions us- we must settle this in our hearts by receiving the mindset of the son of God. Let this mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:14-17 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba,[e] Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. Romans 8:18-19 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
Psalm 68:6 NASB God makes a home for the lonely; He leads out the prisoners into prosperity, Only the rebellious dwell in a parched land. [Without God we were lonely. In Christ we are members of His family.
The theme of family is constant in The Living Word of God. We have examined this text almost every Sunday, and I pray it becomes flesh in each and every one of us.
The Word becoming flesh means that my way of life is a demonstration of God’s will , design, and arrangement. In biology Steve Oundo’s son has his DNA, Sam carries his father’s DNA evidenced by attitude, behavior, physical characteristic and more. Our salvation by GRACE gives us a new identity as this scripture expresses. DNA is the genetic information inside the cells of the body that helps make people who they are. Scientists say that we can think of DNA as instructions for how to make the body, like the blueprints for a house. Let us read hear from apostle
John 1:12-13 NASB But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, [13] who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1:14 NASB And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
The beginning of Jesus ministry was preceded by being proclaimed and affirmed as a son.
Matthew 3:16-17 NASB After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him, [17] and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased." Our journey in Christ begins here .I know we have looked at these scriptures, but we need to continue gazing into these truths until we become them, and it can be said of us that we are the Truth! Jesus said He is the way, the truth and the life and He is our destiny, Hallelujah . Ephesians 1 :3-5 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love 5 He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will. (Our location -positioning is in HIM, IN HIM) Our inquiry into the scriptures reveals our identity, purpose, and function here on earth as we await His return and the end of time.
