Grace

John 1:14,16-17 NKJV And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the
glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. [16] And of His fullness we have all
received, and grace for grace.

Looking thoughtfully on GRACE
Here we are to be fed with knowledge & understanding. The entrance of God’s word brings light & understanding to the simple. Biblical meaning of understanding God-given perception of the nature and meaning of things, resulting in sound judgment and decision-making; in particular the ability to discern spiritual truth and to apply it to human disposition and conduct.
PRACTICAL LIVING OUT OF OUR NEW IDENTITY AS THE SONS OF GOD HERE ON EARTH. Let’s talk about GRACE!
John 1:14,16-17 NKJV And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. [16] And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. [17] For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. [THE SOURCE OF GRACE IS JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD & SAVIOR] Grace is many sided.
1 Peter 4:10 AMPC As each of you has received a gift (a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as [befits] good trustees of God’s many-sided grace [faithful stewards of the extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favor]. This scripture calls us trustees-implying responsibility & burden. On Wednesday when we briefly chatted about Grace from a question by someone to sister Lilly it – the question implied it’s easier now to follow God than in the old testament but we see here that we are required to be responsible, faithful, see how apostles lived and die, there is a price to be in this kingdom, remember Jesus talking about the signs of the end says
Luke 21:12-15 NKJV But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake. [13] But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony. [14] Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; [15] for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. Reading on GRACE
Ephesians 2:4-9 NLT But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So, God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus. God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. [We represent His Grace & Kindness]
Romans 5:15 TPT. Now, there is no comparison between Adam’s transgression and the gracious gift that we experience. For the magnitude of the gift far outweighs the crime. It’s true that many died because of one man’s transgression, but how much greater will God’s grace and his gracious gift of acceptance overflow to many because of what one man, Jesus, the Messiah, did for us! Here are examples of the many-sided Grace of God. For us sinners receiving salvation it is undeserved favor like what we see in
Romans 5:15. Grace found me a rebel and leaves me as a son of God! Grace can be summarized this way ‘I came to the sinner; I looked upon him; and with a look of omnipotent love, I conquered.’”(Moody) When one is suffering – the Grace of God is what makes it possible to prevail. We see this when Paul talks about the thorn in his flesh which though not removed the grace of God is sufficient. Grace qualifies those called and Grace makes one fit for the task the Master calls one to- 1 Corinthians 15:10. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. [I like this verse – the apostle worked- so grace does not exclude work but in the end it is GRACE] Randolph Barnwell defines it this way- GRACE is designed to facilitate and sustain our movements within the will of God for our lives until we are able to secure the ultimate intent for His will.
